A commitment to protecting the environment

The Spazzadeschi family chose to open the Shambalà refuge at Alpe Giumello , a place surrounded by lush and uncontaminated nature . This was not just an entrepreneurial gesture, but an act of love towards the mountain and the environment that surrounds them. Nature , here, is considered an invaluable resource, a heritage to be protected and enhanced, never to be exploited.

Love for the land has inspired a project that is based on a deep respect for the surrounding environment, with the awareness that coexistence with nature must be harmonious. For this reason, the family has decided to integrate into the landscape without compromising it, living in harmony with it and actively committing to its protection .

A model of sustainable development

The vision of the Shambalà refuge is not limited to quality hospitality, but extends to a philosophy of life that embraces a new form of “globalization”: a development that does not exploit the territory , but preserves it. The goal is to demonstrate that it is possible to progress without compromising the fragile environmental balance .

This is a participatory approach, where one does not consider oneself the owner of the environment, but part of it . This concept implies responsibility and respect , demonstrating that development and protection of the ecosystem can coexist in harmony.

Clean Energy and Sustainability

A concrete example of this commitment is the choice to power the refuge with a renewable energy system, through a photovoltaic system . This system allows to exploit solar energy, reducing energy waste to a minimum without compromising the comfort and quality of services offered to guests.

This technological choice is part of a broader philosophy of sustainable living , which aims to minimize the environmental impact of the refuge and to offer visitors an experience that respects the beauty and integrity of the mountain landscape . Guests of the Shambalà refuge can enjoy a stay in close contact with nature, knowing that they are contributing to preserving its beauty.
